FABRICS
- Vacuum or lightly brushing on a weekly basis.
- Avoid direct sunlight as this may fade fabrics.
- Flip and rotate cushions where possible for even wear.
- The high pile fabrics such as velvets may become crushed or lose its original pile height over time, light steaming can restore the pile to its original height.
- Fabrics should be brushed with a upholstery brush to maintain its pile.
- Please avoid water based or solvent cleaner as they may cause discolouration or staining.
- We recommend that heavily stained or soiled fabrics are professionally cleaned.
LEATHERS
- Leather is a natural porous material that can easily absorb liquids and oily substances.
- Avoid saturating leather surfaces with any liquid for a long period of time, if a spill should occur they should be wiped up as immediately to avoid staining.
- Care for leather surfaces by dusting and lightly vacuuming on a weekly basis.
- Flip and rotate cushions where possible for even wear.
- Avoid direct sunlight and heating vents as these can discolour and dry out leathers.
- We recommend you use a professional leather cleaner and conditioner twice a year or as needed.
- Stained or heavily soiled leather products should be professionally cleaned.
METALS
- Avoid cleaners with alcohols or solvents on metals.
- Only use fine cotton or extra soft cloths.
- Heavily tarnished metals should professionally cleaned.
POLISHED METAL
- To clean polished metals wipe with a damp cloth to remove any dust or dirt and follow by polishing with a dry soft cloth.
- Avoid heavy duty or commercial, cleaners, polishes or waxes, as they may scratch or damage the finish.
- Heavily tarnished metals should professionally cleaned.
WOODS, LACQUER AND PAINTED FINISHES
- Wood and lacquered items have been stained and/or polished to bring depth and beauty to each finish.
- Although most are protected with either several coats of clear lacquer or wax, they are still susceptible to wear and staining.
- Care for your wood, lacquer and painted pieces by dusting regularly with a soft cloth.
- Maintain wood, lacquer and painted finishes by not placing near heaters and air conditioning units to prevent over-drying or exposure to excessive moisture.
- We recommend avoiding extreme changes in humidity, as extremely dry air can cause wood to crack and lacquers to lift.
- Avoid direct sunlight as this may slightly darken or lighten wood, lacquer and painted finishes.
- Always use coasters and do not place/leave hot or moist objects in direct contact with wood, lacquer or painted surfaces.
- Clean using a dry or slightly damp soft cloth and follow by polishing with a dry soft cloth.
- Avoid heavy-duty or commercial cleaning products, polishes or waxes as they can damage light finishes.
- Stained or heavily soiled wood, lacquer or painted items should be professionally cleaned or refinished.
MARBLE AND TRAVERTINE
- Marble and travertine tops have been lacquered or wax finished and require minimum care, however are still susceptible to staining.
- Protecting the lacquer or was finish is very important. If a spill should occur they should be wiped up as quickly as possible.
- To clean wipe with a damp cloth to remove any dust or dirt and follow by polishing with a dry soft cloth.
- Protect table tops by using table mats and coasters and avoid any direct contact with hot or moist objects.
- Household should not be used as they can damage the lacquer or wax finish.
GLASS, CRYSTAL, AND MIRROR
- Clean glass or crystal by wiping with a soft damp cloth or glass cleaner.
ALL MATERIALS
- We recommend for all products that you avoid extreme humidity changes and direct sunlight.
